Yes. A referral from your General Practitioner (GP) is required for all appointments. A referral allows us to better understand your medical history and current condition, ensuring appropriate assessment, care, and treatment planning. To be eligible for a Medicare rebate (if you hold a valid Medicare card), your GP referral must be current. GP referrals are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and are required for Medicare rebates on consultations and procedures.

The New Patient Registration Form (NPRF), along with other helpful resources, is available in the Downloads section of our website. All new patients are required to complete the NPRF prior to their first consultation with Dr Amir Butt.
